Local & historic attractions are on your doorstep in Deal. There are plenty of walks ands castles to visit. (Deal Castle, Walmer Castle & Dover Castle) and the Timeball Museum on the seafront. There is good fishing from the Pier and 4 golf courses nearby. The Astor Theatre is a short walk off away together with boutique shops, restaurants and bars.

You can also get the bus or train to Sandwich or the cathedral city of Canterbury, walk around the ancient walls and soak up the history.

There are also two nature reserves & two zoos within driving distance.
